one way love

we all had livejournals, internet crushes, and were really jealous of our friend who was on the first page of makeoutclub.

recharging teenagers

we always tried to sing as low as Calvin Johnson after weekends of smoking too much and nicotine headaches.

please take my car

My friend would always leave his car unlocked with the keys in the ignition. He always hoped his car would be gone when we got back to it, but no one wanted a 1983 Toyota Tercel with a rotted out floor and screaming alternator.

highway to the dangerzone

There was a whole month where my friend only listened to the Top Gun soundtrack. I hated it at first, but then gave in to it's awesomeness...

I saw a man on FIAH!

We always made sure to lock our seatbelts whenever my friend's mother gave us a ride somewhere. To her, it was more important to point in the direction of where she saw a man on fire than staying in her lane and away from the divider.

I go to bakeries all day long, there's a lack of sweetness in my life

We had huge crushes on artsy guys who earned a living doing medical studies. We'd listen to "Hospital" by The Modern Lovers again and again while being overly dramatic about loves that were never meant to be, so we fell in love with Jonathan Richman instead.
